Students applying for A Level First Year must choose one compulsory English course out of the 3 listed:
AS English General,
AS English Language,
AS Global Perspectives and Research.

Select one of the combinations in the list given. If you do not fill the academic grid data in the preceding section, the subject combinations will not be visible.

Note: Certain subjects, such as Further Maths, Art, Media Studies will not be offered if the number of students subscribed to the course is very low.

Students sit the AL Urdu exams at the end of their First Year.

“Mathematics (N)” refers to Mathematics offered to applicants who have not taken Additional Mathematics at the O Level, and “Economics (N)” refers to Economics offered to applicants who have not taken Economics at the O Level.

The Lyceum looks beyond grades. As part of our quest to understand you better, we ask you to please respond to any two of the questions below. (limit 250 words each)

1. “The best ideas often start with a question.” What is a question you can’t stop thinking about - something that fascinates or motivates you - and why does it matter to you?

2. “The world doesn’t need more success stories; it needs more stories of purpose.” Tell us about something you care deeply about - a cause, idea, or experience - and how it has shaped what purpose means to you.

3. “The best test of a civilised society is the way it treats its weakest members.” Discuss.

4. “What does belonging mean to you?” Reflect on a space or community where you have felt truly accepted and why - or one you helped create.

Section 9 – Terms and Conditions

STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

2026 – 2028

The Lyceum is a community founded on trust, respect, and a shared commitment to integrity. These terms and conditions reflect The Lyceum’s ethos and values, and are rooted in the belief that education is a relational, transformative process shaped by care, responsibility, and dialogue. It is a process that is not acquired in isolation but part of a larger social and political arena and process.

A. Shared Philosophy

Relationships at The Lyceum – between students, parents, and the School – are formed on the basis of mutual respect, trust, and a collective commitment to growth. Education is not only about academic outcomes but about cultivating open-mindedness, critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and personal exploration. Our policies are designed to support these goals.

Community Conduct and Expectations

The Lyceum Honour Code is central to student life. Students are expected to behave and communicate with thoughtfulness, maturity, and respect, both online and offline, as ambassadors of the School.

All relationships at The Lyceum are a sacred trust. Students are expected to uphold the following values at all times:

- Courtesy and good form

Behaviour compromising the School's safety, integrity, or reputation may lead to disciplinary action. In exceptional cases, the School reserves the right to require a student's withdrawal if their actions contradict our ethos or compromise community well-being.

The School may share conduct records with other institutions when necessary for safeguarding or accountability. These Terms and Conditions may be revised periodically to reflect best practices and community needs.

Media Consent

By signing below, parents/guardians grant permission for their child's image, video, and audio recordings to be used in school publications and digital platforms. To opt out, please submit a written request stating your child's name and specifying the opt-out preference. We will make every effort to accommodate such requests, except in large group events or public forums where it is not feasible.

Financial Terms

All fees once paid are non-refundable.
Fees are revised annually to account for inflation and operational costs.
Tuition fees are due on the specified deadline. Late payments may result in registration cancellation.
The security deposit will be adjusted or refunded upon completion of two years.
CAIE results, transcripts, and school letters will be withheld until all outstanding fees are settled

Admission to The Lyceum signifies a student’s and their family’s understanding and acceptance of the School’s mission and culture. All students are expected to read the Student-Parent Handbook and to accept and embrace the policies and spirit within it.

Admission to The Lyceum signifies a commitment to our mission and values. Students are expected to understand and abide by our policies and honour code.
